Join nDreams Studio Elevation, a pioneering VR-first studio, as a Senior Concept Artist to help push the boundaries of virtual reality. With a portfolio of innovative titles, including Synapse, Phantom: Covert Ops, and Fracked, we're seeking an exceptionally talented artist to drive the visual direction of our games. This is an exciting opportunity to work on world-leading projects, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior artists. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 2D conceptual artwork, defining the aesthetic of our projects, and shaping the visual identity of our games. You'll work closely with the Art Director to translate their vision into clear visual concepts, moodboards, and key art, ensuring consistency and excellence across all aspects of the game. Key Highlights: 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Fully remote within the UK, with a competitive salary dependent on experience Opportunity to work on innovative VR projects, with a focus on creativity and collaboration Key Responsibilities: Develop high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and storyboards across various genres and styles Conduct visual research to ensure authenticity, readability, and alignment with player expectations Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure visual storytelling supports gameplay and narrative goals Mentor junior artists, provide constructive feedback, and help grow the concept art function Stay current with industry trends and tools, introducing innovative techniques to enhance the art pipeline Requirements: Strong foundational art skills: composition, lighting, anatomy, color theory, and perspective Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard tools Experience with Wacom/Cintiq tablets and familiarity with VR hardware Ability to iterate based on feedback and self-critique Nice to Haves: Experience mentoring or managing junior artists Portfolio showcasing a range of styles and high-quality concept work About Us: nDreams is a virtual reality games publisher and developer based in Farnborough, UK.
