Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to join our team in Arkoma, OK. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individual and group educational plans for infants and toddlers, promoting social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans and educational activities to promote all developmental areas and improve readiness for preschool. Guide and facilitate daily classroom activities, field trips, and outdoor play to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Practice responsive caregiving, including individualized and small group activities, to promote relational learning and integrate routines into a flexible schedule. Conduct conferences, home visits, and maintain accurate records to ensure parents and caregivers are informed about their child's progress and development. Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child, including weekly observations, examples of work, and developmental assessments. Collaborate with Program Aides, Volunteers, and the Center Director to develop skills, plan activities, and ensure program quality. Protect the safety of children by implementing active supervision techniques and ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Requirements: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, with a focus on infant and toddler development. Professional proficiency in spoken and written English. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams at all levels. Successful interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with great problem-solving and time management abilities. Demonstrated knowledge of the Head Start/Early Head Start program and commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
