We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to provide support services to students in need of academic intervention. As a Fed Pro Tutor Advisor - FIT Advocate, you will play a vital role in identifying and supporting students who require extra help to succeed in their academic journey. Job Summary: Under the supervision of a certified teacher or administrator, you will provide academic support and advocacy services to out-of-school youth and students experiencing homelessness. Your primary goal will be to help students overcome barriers to education and achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities: Identify and support out-of-school youth and students experiencing homelessness Provide academic tutoring and intervention services Compile and maintain accurate student records Conduct parent involvement activities and communicate with families Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff Conduct progress monitoring assessments and maintain accurate data Requirements: Completed two years (48 semester credits) of study at an institution of higher education or associate's degree Ability to maintain effective communication with students and staff Ability to carry out and evaluate student achievement Demonstrate adequate level of instructional technology skills Experience and training working with children with diverse backgrounds in an instructional setting Highly Qualified status as defined by No Child Left Behind (NCLB) What We Offer: A competitive salary and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in need.
