Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Writer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BDD Writer to join our team. As a BDD Writer, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement behavior-driven development methodologies. You will utilize your expertise in writing use cases and feature files to support automated testing and drive business requirements. If you have a strong background in Python and SQL, as well as experience with BDD frameworks such as Behave or pytest-bdd, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to understand business requirements and develop clear, concise BDD scenarios in Gherkin syntax. Create and maintain feature files for multiple use cases, ensuring alignment with user stories and acceptance criteria. Support development and QA teams in implementing step definitions and test automation in Python, leveraging your expertise in BDD frameworks. Participate in grooming and planning sessions to ensure comprehensive scenario coverage and contribute to maintaining a structured and scalable BDD repository. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BDD with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Utilize your excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration and drive quality and precision in all aspects of BDD development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of experience in writing BDD use cases and feature files, with a strong understanding of Gherkin language and behavior-driven development principles. Proficiency in Python, with exposure to BDD frameworks such as Behave, pytest-bdd, or lettuce. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and a mindset for quality and precision, with a passion for driving innovation and growth in BDD development. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in test automation and integrating BDD with CI/CD pipelines, as well as exposure to test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr. Background in financial services or enterprise-scale applications, with a strong understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities.
