Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses online at Indian River State College. As an adjunct professor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for Philosophy with students in a dynamic and supportive online learning environment. Key Details: Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with degree and experience Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote (online classes only) Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) FLSA Status: Exempt Qualifications: Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Philosophy or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Philosophy Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner Experience with computer literacy and technology-based instruction Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and promote an inclusive learning environment Preferred: Doctorate in Philosophy from a regionally accredited institution and 2-5 years of post-secondary teaching experience Responsibilities: Prepare, instruct, and grade coursework for assigned online classes Maintain regular office hours to meet with students and provide support Participate in department and division meetings as needed Utilize technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to work in an online environment with minimal physical demands.
