Vice President of Business Intelligence

Were looking for a Vice President of Business Intelligence to lead our enterprise data strategy and elevate how we deliver insights across the organization. In this high-impact, hands-on leadership role, youll report directly to the CTO and oversee a growing team of data engineers and analysts. Youll shape and execute the vision for scalable, secure, and self-service data solutions, while ensuring alignment with business priorities across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. This role is ideal for a strategic data leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings deep technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Python-based ETL, and is passionate about building a strong data culture that empowers every corner of the business. Responsibilities: Own the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise data architecture and analytics capabilities Build and lead a high-performing data organization (engineering and analysis) with a focus on collaboration and delivery Oversee the implementation of scalable data pipelines, modeling practices, and semantic layers using Microsoft Fabric Champion best practices for data governance, data quality, security, and compliance (e.g., PCI 4, SOC 2) Ensure robust analytics capabilities across departments through scalable Power BI datasets, Fabric Lakehouses, file delivery for 3 rd party systems, and self-service tooling Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, drive measurement frameworks, and embed data into decision-making Provide technical and strategic oversight of the data stack, including Python-based ETL (PySpark, Fabric Notebooks), Power BI, and OneLake Foster innovation in how data is captured, stored, processed, and visualized across the enterprise Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment between data initiatives and company goals Experience & Requirements: Must-Have Skills: 8+ years of progressive experience in data roles, including 3+ years in a senior leadership capacity Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise data platforms and teams Deep experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, Notebooks, OneLake) or similar tooling Strong command of Python for ETL and automation, with fluency in SQL and data modeling principles Expertise with Power BI at scale, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance optimization Proven track record in data governance, observability, and regulatory compliance in cloud-native environments (preferably Azure) Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical data work to business priorities Nice-to-Have: FinTech or Merchant Services industry experience Familiarity with ML/AI applications in business intelligence Experience with CI/CD practices for data workflows and Git-based versioning Working knowledge of privacy, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SAC, PCI-DSS) Reports to: Chief Technology Officer Start date: Immediate Employment type : Full-time; Exempt Location: Remote Salary: $180,000-$210,000 Benefits: We provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, identify theft protection, paid time off, and 401k (4% match) Celero Commerce provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
