USPI National Infection Prevention Manager (remote/up to 50% travel) - Tenet Healthcare - USA - work from home jobCompany: Tenet HealthcareJob description: Job Description:The USPI Infection Prevention (IP) Manager is responsible for facilitating USPI facilities in identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP Manager collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention best practices across the enterprise.Duties include:• Assist with development, implementation, and evaluation of the enterprise infection prevention program, with a focus on surgical services, including ambulatory surgical centers and surgical hospitals across the enterprise.• Direct development of facility annual surveillance plans based on the population(s) served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.• Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct targeted surveillance and investigations.• Develop, interpret and assist with implementation of infection prevention and control.policies and protocols.• Communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various stakeholders across the enterprise.• Assess and address learning needs of those served.• Create educational goals, objectives, and strategies using learning principles and available educational tools and technology.• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and learner outcomes• Ensure compliance with regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements at the local, state and federal levels.• Facilitate compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.• Stay current on infection prevention and control regulatory and accreditation standards• Function as a subject matter expert and problem solver.• Utilize performance improvement methodology as a means of enacting sustained improvements.• Ensure that customer needs and expectations are considered in the development of and continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.• Design and analyze process and outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability.• Direct committees, teams and initiatives as needed.Education: Required: Master degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, or related field.Work Experience: At least 3 years of Infection Prevention experience at the level of a multi facility health system.• Director or manager level experience required.• Experience with acute care, ambulatory care, an surgical settings required.Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) requiredProfessional and Personal Attributes• Ability to function independently and work collaboratively• High interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written skills• Exceptional leadership and customer service skills• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives and timelines• Knowledge of current literature applicable to infection prevention• Ability to make knowledgeable risk assessments and judgments• Ability to educate across all audiences• Ability to resolve conflictTenet Healthcare/USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
