The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time. Description CHFS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced trainer to join our dynamic team. As a Training and Development Specialist II, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of our employees through effective training and development programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about employee growth and development. This position will: • Partner with managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop engaging programs aligned with CHFS goals. • Design and deliver training through a variety of methods, including in-person sessions, workshops, and e- learning courses. • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, enrollment tracking, and report generation. • Provide hands-on training and individual support to employees to encourage ongoing professional growth. • Work closely with internal partners to align training with performance management and succession planning efforts. • Maintain accurate and organized training records, including schedules, attendance, and evaluations. We are looking for candidates with the following: • Proven experience as a trainer or in a similar role. • The ability to create engaging and interactive training materials. • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training sessions to diverse audiences. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify training needs and design effective solutions. • The capability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. • High level of professionalism, integrity, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of professional experience in planning, coordinating, or conducting staff development and training courses, personnel administration or teaching, or professional experience in providing or administering human services or governmental programs. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Graduate study in psychometrics, industrial relations, psychology, statistics, education, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in the above areas will substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of experience for two years of education. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
