Rust Engineer

Rust Engineer (Contract/Hourly) We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Rust Engineer for a contract-based, hourly engagement. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bootstrapping a new team, providing technical leadership and mentorship to our clients, and contributing to the strategic growth of our business. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Development: Architect, develop, and deliver robust, high-performance software solutions using Rust . Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Mentorship & Onboarding: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to client teams. You’ll be responsible for onboarding new clients, designing solutions, and helping them get up to speed with our processes and technology. Project Scoping & Architecture: Contribute to the long-term growth of our business by participating in project scoping and solution architecture. Your experience in these areas is a strong asset. Strategic Growth: As demand grows, the role has the potential to expand into a leadership position, responsible for building and managing a small team of engineers. Requirements Proven experience in a professional software development role, with a strong portfolio of projects built in Rust . Exceptional self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver results under minimal supervision. Prior experience in a client-facing role, providing mentorship, or leading technical discussions is highly desirable. Timezone: We would like candidates within the EST, GMT, or CET time zones.
