About Our Firm We are a fully remote CPA firm serving small businesses and individuals nationwide. We provide monthly bookkeeping, tax preparation, and tax advisory services. Our firm is intentionally structured with clear role separation so bookkeepers can focus on accurate, timely books, while CPAs focus on review, advisory, and tax planning. This role is designed for an experienced bookkeeper who values structure, consistency, and clear expectations. The Role This position is for a bookkeeper responsible for monthly bookkeeping for a defined group of clients. You will be responsible for: • Performing monthly bookkeeping for assigned clients • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts • Categorizing transactions accurately and consistently • Identifying issues and escalating questions to the CPA when needed • Communicating professionally with clients regarding bookkeeping questions • Preparing clean, review-ready books for CPA review • Supporting year-end close and tax preparation Work Schedule Expectations • 24–32 hours per week • Predictable workload with defined client assignments • No overtime expectation • Month-end focused workload with reasonable deadlines What This Role Is (and Is Not) This role IS: • Client-facing bookkeeping • Accuracy-focused, repeatable work • Defined monthly responsibilities • Fully remote with clear expectations This role is NOT: • A CPA or tax preparer role • A payroll-only role • A cleanup-heavy or fire-drill position • A role with shifting or undefined responsibilities Qualifications • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client-service or CPA firm environment, with responsibility for monthly close, reconciliations, and client communication. • Strong experience with monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations • Experience working with small business clients • Comfortable communicating with clients professionally • High attention to detail and consistency • Ability to work independently in a remote environment Required: • QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience Preferred but not required: • Experience working with CPA firms • TaxDome or similar client portal experience Why This Role Works • Fully remote • Predictable hours • Defined client assignments • Clear separation between bookkeeping and CPA responsibilities • Long-term role, not seasonal churn This role is ideal for a bookkeeper who wants stable work, clear expectations, and professional clients.
