[Remote] Analyst, Fraud Investigations & Reporting

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Raymond James is a financial services firm that is seeking a Fraud Investigations & Reporting Analyst. This role is responsible for conducting investigations into potential fraud, analyzing transactions, drafting Suspicious Activity Reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate fraud risk. Responsibilities • Conducting comprehensive investigations into potential fraud and suspicious activity across various channels, including account surveillance, branch escalations, and regulatory inquiries. • Analyzing transactions, performing due diligence, drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate fraud risk and respond to potential fraud events. Skills • Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of the securities industry and/or banking compliance reviews. • Knowledge of external and internal fraud typologies, detection methods, and regulatory reporting requirements. • Knowledge of research tools and practices, such as internet research and third-party systems (e.g., LexisNexis). • Knowledge of fraud surveillance systems, case management tools, and SAR filing practices. • Knowledge of rules and regulations of the USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation E, Reg S-ID, and any other applicable fraud-related regulatory or industry rules and guidance. • Skill in identifying irregularities and red flags. • Skill in performing critical analysis supported by clear and accurate documentation. • Skill in drafting clear, concise, and compliant alert, case and SAR narratives and e-mails. • Skill in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication. • Skill in investigating compliance issues and irregularities. • Skill in making risk-based decisions, using creativity, resourcefulness, expertise, and sound due diligence. • Skill in time management and prioritization in a high-volume environment. • Skill in written and verbal communication. • Skill in administering anti-fraud policies and procedures. • Skill in planning and scheduling work to meet organizational and regulatory requirements. • Skill in operating standard office equipment and using required software applications. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and manage complex investigations with minimal supervision. • Ability to complete high-volume, deadline-driven work in a timely manner, with a focus on quality and compliance. • Ability to use sound judgment supported by research and expertise to make informed decisions in response to potential fraud. • Ability to communicate effectively with associates and investigators as well as management, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders (both verbally and through written correspondence). • Ability to receive and apply feedback on work product and practices. • Ability to prioritize work effectively. • Ability to adapt to evolving fraud threats and regulatory changes. • Ability to gather information, identify linkages, trends, and significance and communicate findings. • Ability to interpret and apply regulations and identify and recommend compliance changes as appropriate. • Ability to provide a high level of customer service. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. • Ability to foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. • CFE required or the ability to obtain in 12 months. • Bachelor’s: Accounting, Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance. • General Experience - 13 months to 3 years. • CAMS preferred. • SIE and/or Series 7 preferred.
