QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you will design and execute tests for software solutions, ensuring high-quality standards and reliability in logistics and routing applications. Responsibilities Design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests for GroundCloud products Validate software releases to ensure they meet functional requirements and quality standards Report defects clearly and collaborate with development and product teams to resolve them Participate in design and specification reviews, contributing QA feedback early in the process Set up and maintain test environments across relevant platforms Track quality issues and contribute to defect and compliance documentation Share application and QA process knowledge with peers to build team capability Perform basic security and performance checks Stay current with QA best practices and continuously improve test processes Skills Keen attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality products Working knowledge of software testing strategies and the software development life cycle (SDLC) Familiarity with different testing types (e.g., integration, system, regression, UAT) Experience designing effective test cases using test design techniques Practical experience with test management or defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum processes Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Analytical thinker able to identify root causes and document steps clearly Basic programming or scripting ability (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) Ability to use SQL to query databases and verify data as part of tests Some experience with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Postman, or similar) Prior exposure to logistics, routing, or safety software is a plus Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level) are an advantage Benefits Competitive compensation Great benefits Remote and flexible work hours Company Overview Descartes provides cloud-based logistics and supply chain management solutions to improve productivity for businesses.
