Process Development Engineer I

The Process Development Engineer I will be responsible for creating sustainable manufacturing processes for electrophysiology components, providing technical support for process development and transfer into production. Responsibilities Participate in the execution of the process design, development, and validation activities for medical devices through the product development process Determine solutions for problems, process selection decisions, and technical challenges Use process characterization skills and tools such as Design on Experiments (DOE), pFMEA, DFM, and statistics to make data driven decisions Leverage documents such as process validation protocols or engineering studies that demonstrate technical rationale for associated decision Work collaboratively with technicians and operators on the production floor to solve technical problems Other duties assigned as required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field strongly preferred; other relevant postsecondary education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree Demonstrates basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including mechanics of materials, polymer science, basic electrical concepts, and proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools Ability to make data driven decisions utilizing statistics Ability to execute and communicate on any technical and/or project workstreams Ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences including manager and production employees Demonstrated ability to develop cross-functional relationships and influence to drive results Adaptable to the need for continuous improvements and continued change to meet company needs Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage A 401(k) plan with company match Education reimbursement Paid parental leave Paid time off Company Overview Heraeus is a holding company that produces precious metals, materials and technologies.
