Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney - Freelance Project

Remote Full-time
Are you an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) attorney eager to shape the future of AI? Large-scale language models are evolving from clever chatbots into powerful tools for financial analysis, legal reasoning, and strategic decision-making. With high-quality training data, tomorrow's AI can help democratize world-class business intelligence, support transaction strategy, and streamline complex deal processes. That training data begins with you—your expertise will help power the next generation of AI. We're looking for lawyers with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting. You should have deep expertise in M&A deal structuring, valuation, due diligence, and integration planning, with a solid understanding of both legal and financial frameworks governing transactions. You'll collaborate with advanced AI systems on topics such as financial modeling, regulatory compliance, negotiation strategy, transaction documentation, and corporate governance—evaluating model outputs for accuracy, logic, and practical applicability, and identifying opportunities to improve reasoning and analytical depth. On a typical day, you will review and assess AI-generated content related to M&A scenarios, evaluate the validity of financial and legal reasoning, document performance gaps, and work closely with our team to refine prompts, frameworks, and evaluation criteria. A law degree (JD or equivalent) is required. Deep familiarity with M&A principles—whether from a legal or financial perspective—is essential. Clear, analytical communication and the ability to explain complex deal concepts with precision are key to success in this role. Ready to channel your M&A expertise into building the AI tools of tomorrow? Apply today and help train the model that will support finance, strategy, and legal professionals around the world. We offer a pay rate up to $200 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above. As a contractor, you'll supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
