Job Summary: We are seeking part-time tutors to provide academic support to students at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). As a tutor, you will play a vital role in promoting effective study habits and learning strategies, enabling students to become independent learners. Key Highlights: Location: Baltimore County, MD (Multiple locations: Catonsville Campus, Dundalk Campus, and Essex Campus) Position: Part-time Tutors Compensation: Competitive salary range: $15.82 - $20.50 per hour (dependent on education level) Start Date: Immediate openings available Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one, small group, and online assistance to students Promote study skills and learning strategies Visit classes to advertise services and encourage student participation Document time spent with each student and material covered Attend training sessions to become College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified Mentor, observe, and evaluate other tutors as assigned Requirements: Tutor I: 9+ college-level credits with a B average and faculty recommendation Tutor II: Associate's degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher Tutor III: Bachelor's degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher Tutor IV: Master's degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher Demonstrated subject area competence Experience working with students with disabilities preferred Prior tutoring experience preferred Benefits: Supplemental retirement annuities (403(b) and 457(b)) Roth 403(b) savings feature Deferred compensation plan Free parking Paid sick and safe leave How to Apply: Don't hesitate to apply if you're passionate about education and want to make a difference in students' lives.
