Part-Time University Supervisor, Student Teaching Point Park University is seeking experienced and dedicated retired principals, assistant superintendents, and superintendents to serve as Part-Time University Supervisors for our student teachers across Pennsylvania. About the Role As a Part-Time University Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education by guiding and evaluating student teachers during their immersive classroom experiences. This is a part-time opportunity offering a unique chance to leverage your expertise in a supportive university environment. Responsibilities Meet with the cooperating teacher and student teacher prior to the first day of student teaching. Attend an online orientation via Zoom with your assigned student teachers. Review and provide feedback on candidates' weekly assignments. Deliver consistent weekly written and verbal feedback to support student growth. Conduct a minimum of four in-person or virtual observations throughout the student teaching placement. Complete the official PDE 430 form and provide comprehensive written and verbal feedback after each observation. Verify the successful completion of the program for your assigned candidates. Qualifications Hold a valid Pennsylvania Principal or Letter of Eligibility. Possess reliable transportation for travel to various school placements. Be a professional educator with a strong desire to mentor and supervise aspiring teachers. Demonstrate excellent technology skills for communication and feedback. Compensation $1,000 per candidate supervised. Reimbursement for mileage. With prior approval, reimbursement for hotel and per diem food expenses for overnight travel.
