Job Overview: The Senior Cost Controls Specialist uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the costing discipline within McDermott They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their... conceptual and practical expertise related to the cost discipline The Senior Cost Controls Specialist solves complex problems and uses their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services The Senior Cost Controls Specialist impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities. Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Quantity take-off from drawings / model • Validate progress in the field • Take off quantities from either drawings or the model • Assist in loading the quantity tracking items into the earned value system • Help establish the proper level to track in the earned value system • Help develop quantity tracking items that will be identifiable to construction • Work with engineering to pull quantity data from engineering databases • Verify reported progress through site walk downs Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education: • Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Construction related experience • 4-15 years of experience • Understands the project schedule and its relationship to cost and progress • Knowledge of EPC Contract Types (LS, Cost Plus, Reimb, etc..) #LI-DNI #LI-EB2 About Us At McDermott, we proudly work together to create and deliver innovative engineering and construction solutions for the energy industry Our customers trust our technology-driven approach to design and build infrastructure solutions to responsibly transport and transform natural resources into the products the world needs today Because we're powered by the most innovative minds, we rise to every challenge to make what was once just an idea a reality Apply Job!
