About the position The Seasonal Starbucks Associate at Follett is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, primarily within a Starbucks setting on a college campus. This role involves preparing quality beverages and food products, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The position is temporary, typically lasting from a few days to a few weeks, depending on store needs. Responsibilities • Prepare quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. , • Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customers for cues. , • Communicate relevant information to the manager to maintain a quality customer environment during each shift. , • Follow operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and security during each shift. , • Stock products and maintain organized shelves/stock. Requirements • Previous barista or food service experience preferred. , • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment. , • Ability to safely operate coffee equipment and perform accurate transactions. , • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting responsibilities. , • Strong customer service skills, including effective communication. , • Computer literacy is desired. , • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly (with or without reasonable accommodation). , • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend for the duration of your shift.
