What you will be doing: Perform daily SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. Implement SAP patches, upgrades, and support packages. Manage SAP user roles, authorizations, and security profiles. Conduct system performance tuning and optimization. Provide technical support to SAP users and resolve system-related issues. Plan and execute system backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of SAP systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures related to SAP Basis administration. Manage and optimize costs associated with SAP system maintenance and support. Negotiate and manage vendor relationships for SAP support and services, focusing on cost efficiency. What our client is looking for: Extensive experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or Technical Consultant. Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries. Familiarity with industry specific processes and regulatory compliance, such as GMP, GLP and GCP. Deep understanding of SAP architecture, system landscape, and components. Proven ability in SAP system installation, configuration, and administration. Skilled in managing SAP user roles, authorizations, and security. Strong knowledge of SAP performance tuning and optimization. Experienced with SAP patching, upgrades, and support package implementation, including troubleshooting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in cost management, vendor relations, and budget optimization for SAP systems.
