Senior Virtualization Engineer - VMware Solutions **Rewritten Job Description:** About the Role: We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Virtualization Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining VMware virtualization solutions at an enterprise scale. As a key member of our technology team, you will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure the availability and reliability of our infrastructure platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain VMware virtualization solutions, including architecture, deployment, and monitoring. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify feature sets that impact infrastructure platforms and ensure availability and reduce toil. Develop and implement monitoring systems to provide continuous support for ongoing infrastructure and application availability. Investigate and resolve current incidents, providing solutions to detect, recover, and prevent re-occurrence. Partner with various teams and stakeholders to drive project governance and operational readiness. Identify opportunities for adopting new technology to solve existing needs and maintain relationships with product vendors to influence roadmaps. Develop and maintain deep knowledge of VMware, Nutanix AOS, AHV, and other datacenter technologies. Automate day-to-day tasks using scripting and enhance frameworks for onboarding new enterprise solutions in line with AXP security guidelines. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 1+ years of industry experience with 1+ years of VMware/virtualization solutions at an enterprise scale. Proven expertise in building, deploying, and architecting VMware/virtualization solutions at an enterprise scale. Strong working knowledge of one or more hardware platforms and exposure to HW life cycle, including build, operation, maintenance, and decommission. Deep knowledge of one or more operating systems, including VMware, Nutanix AOS, and AHV. Knowledge of multiple datacenter technologies, including backup, configuration management, and automation. Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges. Good written and verbal communication skills.
