Status: Full Time Regular Shift: EVENING SHIFT Department: Pharmacy Position Summary Summary: The Pharmacist advances rational, patient-oriented drug therapy. He/she promotes Pharmacists as integral members of the health care team in order to allow full utilization of their clinical and drug use control functions that would be beneficial in each health setting. He/she serves as a primary advocate for advancing professional practice, increasing cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical services and improving the quality of patient care. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred but not necessary License/Certifications New York State Pharmacy License New York State Pharmacy Registration Certificate Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Immunization Certification Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn May require admixture of chemotherapeutic agents. May require prolonged periods of standing. May require the occasional lifting of heavy boxes.
