We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time STEM Academy Teaching Assistant to support our in-person math and science-based high school program at a community organization in Northeast Philadelphia. About the Role: Provide classroom support and content tutoring to high school students in STEM fields (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science) Collaborate with faculty to deliver STEM-based instruction, activities, and labs Offer weekly updates, reports, and materials to the STEM Faculty Coordinator Communicate regularly with the STEM team to ensure proper content and problem-solving Requirements and Qualifications: Proficiency in at least one STEM area of interest (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science) or Education (5th semester students or higher preferred) Ability to understand instructions and work independently as well as collaboratively on tasks Timely completion of job responsibilities and taking initiative to resolve problems Successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check What We Offer: Competitive hourly compensation: $18/hour Opportunities for long-term participation and potential for higher rates and additional hours Professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment Flexible scheduling: 8-12 hours per week, with program activities taking place between 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on most weekdays Why Join Us?
