As a tutor with SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC, you will be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to learning. You will also have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds, including migrant students, and make a positive impact on their academic journeys. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one math tutoring to high school students, covering a range of topics including algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and probability Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Assess student progress and communicate with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to learning Prepare students for standardized exams, such as the SAT, ACT, and AP exams Mentor and support students in developing strong study habits, time management skills, and academic confidence Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse student backgrounds and learning styles Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching math to high school students College degree in math, education, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree) Eligibility to work in the United States, with a valid Social Security Number Ability to pass a background check and commit to tutoring for the duration of the assignment Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Technological savvy, with proficiency in email, texting, Slack, Google Sheets, and Excel What We Offer: Competitive pay rate, based on education and experience ($15.00-$27.00 per hour) Opportunities for professional growth and development, including access to our contractor incentive website and recognition programs A supportive and collaborative team environment, with a shared passion for making a difference in students' lives Flexible scheduling, with the option to work remotely or in-person About Us: SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing high-quality math tutoring and mentorship to students from underrepresented backgrounds.
