PART TIME Curriculum Specialist/Learning Strategist K-8th ELA

About the position The Curriculum Specialist/Learning Strategist position at College Advising Prep (CAP) is a part-time role focused on teaching K-8th grade English Language Arts (ELA). The ideal candidate will create engaging curriculum and lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, while also fostering a positive learning environment. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work both in-person and remotely, contributing to a collaborative and supportive educational community. Responsibilities • Create curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of the students , • Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons daily , • Communicate effectively with students, families, and the founder , • Be open to constructive criticism and feedback on teaching methodologies , • Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the students , • Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the progress of all students , • Respond to the needs of the families and students , • Implement developmentally appropriate activities for the age group Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B.A./B.S. required, Master's preferred) , • At least two years of experience teaching K-8 ELA , • California Teaching or Child Development Permit, or eligibility to obtain a permit , • Strong passion for ELA and working with K-8 students , • Ability to create a fun yet engaging curriculum , • Understanding of how to facilitate a positive learning environment Nice-to-haves • AA or BA in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a directly related field , • 2 years experience as Lead Teacher in a classroom Benefits • 401(k) , • Flexible schedule , • Opportunities for advancement , • Training & development Apply Job!
