About the position The Package Handler position at FedEx Ground involves the efficient and safe movement of packages, documents, and supplies within a warehouse environment. This role is non-driving and requires physical stamina to handle packages of varying weights, ensuring timely processing and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities • Provide movement of packages, documents, and supply support in a timely manner. , • Utilize effective scan/load methods for package handling. , • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level. , • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance. , • Ability to walk and stand for designated work hours. , • Ability to bend and squat for designated work hours. , • Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level. , • Ability to work in all weather conditions if required. , • Ability to climb stairs and ladders if required. , • Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.
