The Lead Barista will play a crucial role in ensuring our Milkhouse Coffee shop delivers exceptional coffee and customer service. This position requires a passion for coffee and an ability to lead and manage a team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and dedicated to creating welcoming atmosphere for team members and guests. Essential Job Functions: Lead and inspire the barista team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Train new Baristas on processes and procedures and monitor adherence to guidelines Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the consistency and excellence of coffee products Engage with regular customers and build a loyal customer base. Schedule barista shifts and manage daily staffing needs. Monitor inventory levels, place orders through approved vendors, and manage supplies Oversee the daily operations of the Milkhouse Create menu specials Follow health and safety regulations to promote a clean work environment Provide preventative maintenance for all espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices Licenses & Certifications: Food Handlers Permit Skills & Abilities Proven experience as a barista, with advanced knowledge of coffee preparation techniques Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a coffee shop or similar environment Strong understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Lodging Dynamics is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
