K–5 Virtual Summer School Tutor (Current BCPS Teachers Only)

Job description Job Summary Your Teacher Tutors is seeking experienced and passionate Baltimore County Public School (BCPS) teachers to provide 1:1 virtual tutoring to K–5 students as part of our Virtual Summer School Partnership. This short-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to help young learners strengthen foundational skills using provided curriculum and assessments—all from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities • Deliver individualized 1:1 virtual tutoring sessions in reading and/or math to K–5 students. • Use provided diagnostic assessments and curriculum materials to guide instruction. • Adapt teaching strategies to meet each student’s unique learning needs. • Maintain a positive and supportive virtual learning environment. • Track student progress and communicate any concerns or successes with program leads as needed. • Participate in planning sessions and any required training or orientation. Qualifications • Must be a current Baltimore County Public School teacher. • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students (grades K–5). • Strong instructional skills in core subject areas, especially literacy and math. • Comfortable using virtual learning tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently while following program expectations.
