As a Preschool Educator with Lutheran Services Florida, you will be responsible for: Planning and implementing daily lesson plans that cater to the educational and enrichment needs of pre-school age children Creating a safe and effective learning environment, including arranging classrooms into distinctive learning areas Screening and assessing children to determine developmental and educational needs, and developing individual education plans Monitoring meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities to ensure a safe environment Communicating with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and telephone to keep them informed of their child's progress Conducting health checks, reporting health concerns, and maintaining accurate records Ensuring lessons and classroom activities align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards Maintaining a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child To be successful in this role, you will need: An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school, or kindergarten age children Working knowledge of brain development, child development, and culture and practices for early childhood Excellent communication and supervisory skills The ability to plan, organize, and conduct early childhood education programs Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area) are preferred Why Join Lutheran Services Florida?
