Job title: I Heart EBITDA Career Site in Massachusetts at I Heart EBITDA Company: I Heart EBITDA Job description : Position Summary The Accounting Associate is responsible for providing bookkeeping and financial services tailored to client needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration, and adaptability to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. The Accounting Associate will engage with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless financialworkflows and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position is 100% remote with flexible work hours. The role will be full-time, hourly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Accounting Associate is expected to: Financial Recordkeeping & Transactions ∙Record financial transactions accurately in client accounting software. ∙Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Inventory Management as assigned. ∙Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts. ∙Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy. Reporting & Compliance ∙Prepare and review financial reports to support business decision- making. ∙Ensure compliance with applicable tax, payroll, and accounting regulations. ∙Assist in year-end financial processes, including tax filings and audit support. Client & Team Communication ∙Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner (within 24 hours). ∙Communicate financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders. ∙Collaborate with team members to share best practices and improve efficiency. ∙Support internal process improvements and contribute to the company's continuous improvement initiatives. Other Responsibilities ∙Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial data. ∙Complete tasks within assigned budgets and deadlines. ∙Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Competencies Required Qualifications ∙Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). ∙Experience: Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping and financial operations experience. ∙Software Proficiency: Advanced experience with QuickBooks Desktop & Online, MS Office 365. ∙Technical Skills: oStrong understanding of GAAP principles. oAbility to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously. oExperience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and payroll processing. ∙Project Management: Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle competing deadlines effectively. ∙Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate financial information in an easy-to-understand manner. Preferred Qualifications ∙Experience working with businesses across various industries and company sizes. ∙Experience at least 1 year in a remote role. ∙Familiarity with Teamwork, Bill, RAMP, and other cloud-based accounting tools. ∙Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements. Work Environment & Physical Requirements ∙Work Environment: This is a fully remote position. The employee must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace. ∙Physical Requirements: Regular use of a computer, including extended periods of screen time.
