This role offers a salary package of a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.   Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment  Reads job order; observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble  Disassembles, overhauls, repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, or replaces parts...  Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts  Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections  Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements  Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments  Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices Lubricates and cleans parts  Starts devices to test their performance  Mends damaged body parts by hammering out or filling in dents and bodywork, including painting  Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and makes adjustments.  Initiates purchase order for parts and machines  Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings  Heavy work, lifting/moving up to 100 pounds  Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb on an occasional basis  Exposure to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis  Work outside in all weather conditions and on occasion at elevated heights; may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration  Demonstrate auditory and visual acuity/tracking/inspection  Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries  Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, or safety glasses  Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work  Complete annual training and pass safety and track worker rules examinations  Must successfully complete probationary period  This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, membership is required  75% travel required  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)  Class B CDL required  Must have a valid driverÂs license  Must be a qualified welder  Outside work experience  Welding experience  Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications--both general and technical)  Communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions)  Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills)  Basic Math  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals  May require random testing for drugs and/or alcohol  Must pass all required assessments  Must pass a background screening  May require a medical examination, including drug and physical capabilities test Qualified applicants will be considered for vacancies without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by prevailing state and federal laws, regulations and ordinances Apply Job!  Join Our Team!
