This position will work primarily on weekends, with work hours totaling less than 4 hours per day. The successful candidate will be a passionate, well-trained fitness professional who can inspire and motivate our members to reach their health and fitness goals. We offer a competitive hourly rate, insurance benefits, paid training, and paid vacations. — Job Description: As a Fitness Instructor at Planet Fitness, your main responsibility will be to conduct fitness classes and personal training sessions during the weekends. You’ll be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, keep a clean and organized fitness area, and assist in member retention efforts. — Responsibilities: – Conduct group fitness classes and personal training sessions – Design safe and effective 30-minute workouts for different fitness levels – Provide clear instructions and proper coaching, motivate members and maintain a high degree of energy and commitment – Develop and maintain professional relationships with members, ensuring they are satisfied with our services and assisting with retention efforts — Requirements: – Current nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification (NSCA, ACE, ACSM, NASM, NESTA, etc.) – CPR/AED certification – High School Diploma or GED equivalent – Excellent communication and customer service skills — Educational Qualifications: – Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field – Continual ongoing training and development to keep up with industry trends and standards — Experience: – At least 1 year of experience in the fitness industry – Experience leading group fitness classes preferred — Company Overview: Planet Fitness is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the United States.
