Join Delta's Data Science team for a transformative summer experience! This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated student to contribute to a leading transportation company. As a Data Science Intern, you'll analyze complex transportation data, develop predictive models using Python and SQL, and gain hands-on experience impacting critical business decisions. You'll work collaboratively with experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and present your findings to key stakeholders. This is a 13-week, full-time, summer internship program (May 13 - August 9, 2024) based in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered. Key Responsibilities: Analyze transportation data from various sources to identify trends and insights. Develop and implement Python scripts and statistical models to predict performance and optimize operations. Collaborate with team members to propose and evaluate potential improvements to airline operations. Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders. Work independently while seeking guidance and feedback on complex problems. Document work and present results to stakeholders at the end of the internship. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Programming, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Available for a full-time, 13-week summer internship (May 13 - August 9, 2024). Ability to work from either the Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN office. Proficiency in Python and SQL.
