Core Information: Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: Workwarp Location: Remote Compensation: a competitive salary Position: Transcriber – Freelance   About the role We are looking for trained professional transcribers with excellent attention to detail and deadlines to join our team of freelancers. The content is about 60-70% educational field, with other types of work available - media, documentaries / movies, training videos, YouTube, corporate, etc. Training and support on our system is provided, as well as a large searchable Support Center. Working as an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to choose when and where you work. The Ideal candidate : • Audio transcription experience (1 year full-time or 2 years part-time) • Excellent typing skills with 99% accuracy • A minimum typing speed of 70 wpm • Transcription software (such as FTR Player or Express Scribe), professional headphones and / or speakers, and antivirus software • Excellent knowledge of English grammar and punctuation • Excellent proofreading skills • Excellent research skills • Good time management skills (be able to return projects according to strict deadlines) • Open to feedback and able to make immediate corrections • Previous training in transcription • This is an independent contractor position and pay will be on a per audio minute basis, as is standard for the industry.
