About the position The Aircraft Painter position is an entry-level role focused on training individuals to prep and paint aircraft. This position offers hands-on training in a unique industry, allowing employees to gain valuable skills while being compensated. Responsibilities Learn to prep and paint aircraft under the guidance of experienced painters. , Prepare surfaces for painting and protect components from chemical erosion during the paint stripping and sanding process. , Seal and mask surfaces to prevent damage during painting. , Apply aerospace coatings and livery markings according to industry standards. , Operate equipment such as boom lifts safely and effectively. , Follow safety protocols for working on and around aircraft. , Properly use and dispose of chemicals and materials in compliance with OSHA regulations. Requirements Willingness to learn and work hard in a hands-on environment. , Ability to pass a background check and drug test prior to employment. Nice-to-haves Previous experience in industrial painting may allow for a higher starting rate.
