At Mindoula, we believe mental health care should be human-first, not diagnosis-first. That's why we're delivering a tech-enabled, team-based model that brings together primary care providers, OBGYNs, pediatricians, care managers, and psychiatric consultants to support patients in need - wherever they are. We are currently seeking a DC-licensed, Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Collaborative Care Program as an independent contractor. This is an outstanding opportunity to deliver impactful, team-based psychiatric care in a fully virtual model while supporting underserved populations and contributing to a smarter, more connected behavioral health system. Learn more about our Collaborative Care Program What You'll Do • Provide scheduled case reviews and consultations to care managers regarding the psychiatric care of assigned patients. • Submit written consult notes with medication recommendations and other treatment updates within 24 hours, finalized in Mindoula's Member Registry. • Support ongoing treatment in the primary care, OBGYN, or pediatric setting and recommend transitions to more intensive or specialized mental health services as needed. • As consulting psychiatrists do not conduct direct patient evaluations and the referring provider remains the treating clinician, clearly communicate that all treatment recommendations are based solely on consultative case reviews. • Contribute to the training of primary care staff and providers on behavioral health conditions and integrated care best practices. What You'll Need • An active D.C. medical license. • Board Certification in Psychiatry. • A strong interest in integrated, virtual, and measurement-based care models. • Experience in women's health and/or pediatrics (preferred, not required). • Willingness to become licensed in additional states (preferred, not required). Why Join Mindoula? Mindoula is more than a behavioral health company - we are a mission-driven movement committed to fixing a broken system. Founded by individuals with personal experiences of mental illness, Mindoula was built to treat people, not just conditions. • Deploy tech-enabled care teams to provide 24/7 support to the most complex populations. • Leverage predictive analytics to improve outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions. • Support partners across health plans, hospitals, and primary care settings to deliver whole-person, value-based care. • Operate nationally with ambitious growth plans and a commitment to transforming behavioral health delivery. If you're passionate about making a difference, energized by collaboration, and committed to quality care, we'd love to hear from you.
