Job Title: Illustrator / Concept Artist AI Trainer Job Type: Part-time or Full-time, contract Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer's team as an Illustrator / Concept Artist AI Trainer, shaping the creative direction of advanced AI illustration models. In this unique role, you’ll combine your expert visual storytelling skills with strategic feedback to help train and refine the artistic intelligence behind tomorrow’s most innovative tools. Key Responsibilities: • Develop concise style briefs and concept notes detailing composition, gesture, texture, and perspective intent for AI learning. • Deliver targeted, actionable critiques of AI-generated artwork, focusing on proportion adjustments, palette enhancements, and perspective corrections. • Identify recurring stylistic challenges and advise engineering teams on dataset or prompt improvements for optimal model evolution. • Document hand and brush techniques, layer strategies, and the translation of analog to digital workflows to inform AI behavior. • Recommend controlled experiments that foster stylistic diversity while safeguarding the integrity and craft of illustration fundamentals. • Engage in clear, thoughtful written and verbal communication to share feedback and creative guidelines. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Several years of proven experience as an illustrator or concept artist, supported by a robust portfolio. • Mastery of anatomy, perspective, line work, color theory, and visual storytelling principles. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive, concise feedback. • Strong sense of creative strategy and design judgment, balancing innovative flair with practical guidance. • Experience curating, organizing, and annotating large volumes of visual assets. • Deep attention to form, narrative intent, and stylistic nuance. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. or European institution. • Experience working with or training AI systems in creative domains. • Demonstrated interest or background in creating or manipulating digital images.
