As a Video Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and execution of our remote transmission and live events, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality video content to audiences around the world. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Video Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Video Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of our remote transmission and live events, including camera operation, signal management, and technical support. This is a remote-based position, and you will be working from home, with occasional travel required to support live events. Key Responsibilities Responsible for adjusting video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between all cameras. Fixes and coordinates video, works with video team/staff to set up screens for talent and the show. Capable of investigating any video issue, including camera, cabling, lens, and other technical issues/concerns. Manages and organizes remote compound video, fiber link, and source list. Coordinates, plans, and develops work processes with the help of Activities and Creation partners. Knowledge of some system design and building and on-site installation and setup to include video path, fiber connected systems, digital video compression and transmission guidelines, PC networking, Expert Control facilities and hub, and storage systems. Essential Qualifications We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Video Operator to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as broadcasting, communications, or a related field. Strong knowledge of the functions of live creation equipment. Ability to read and work a waveform/vectorscope (designs - SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR). Ability to manage overall camera look and covering necessities. Ability to screen and change signals and screens depending on the situation. Ability to set up, operate, and strike video equipment on location depending on the situation. Critical thinking and investigating using technical acumen and solid technical tools to best convey issues and goals. Preferred Qualifications We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Video Operator to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong knowledge of broadcast gear and remote creation show needs. Knowledge of fiber optic systems and cabling. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of live creation equipment and video transmission systems. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to travel and work on weekends and holidays as required.
