Experienced Software Engineer–Embedded (Virtual) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Software Engineer–Embedded (Virtual) to support our Boeing Software Integration (BSF) team located in Littleton, Colorado. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization. Candidate will be responsible for developing Python based devops tools, supporting devops tasks related across the Boeing Software Factory, and developing tooling that automates the orchestration, packaging, and testing of software products across the company. Position Responsibilities: A fast paced, small team that automates common development tasks in the Boeing Software Factory by providing devops support Gitlab CI Pipeline implementation and updates to existing pipelines Bazel module updates and implementation to support various development languages (Python, C, C++, Java, Rust, etc...) Python tool development Works under general direction with various teams to help with their migration into the Boeing Software Factory This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 3+ years of experience developing Python modules and/or scripts 3+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI preferred) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 3+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems, using one or more real-time operating systems (RTOS) 2+ years of experience with C/C++ development 1+ years of experience with Bazel (Module development preferred) Rust development experience Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies Travel: No travel required Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
