We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we take pride in the diversity of our team. **Job Summary** As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting internal users and external customers with technology support for our Billing Platform. Your primary focus will be on data entry and filing Surplus Lines taxes, ensuring compliance with state requirements. You will work closely with Broker Assistants and Brokers to obtain necessary information and forms, and provide support to accounting leaders for reconciliation purposes. **Key Responsibilities** * Generates and reviews weekly insurance payables reports to identify policies that require filings. * Interfaces with Broker Assistants and Brokers to obtain information or forms required for state compliance, follows up when necessary, and provides Surplus Lines record numbers and/or countersignatures as needed. * Ensures Surplus Lines taxes and fees are entered correctly and pays taxes with each state entity according to their requirements (e.g., state intranet site, SLIP systems, paper filings, etc.). * Enters, files, and pays taxes with each state entity, obtains Surplus Lines Broker signatures and notary signatures, and provides all documentation to accounting assistants for check or ACH issuance for payment of taxes to the states. * Provides information to accounting leaders for reconciliation purposes and maintains PSR Surplus Lines tax intranet. * Generates various Excel reports and assists profit center personnel as necessary. * Maintains electronic records of Surplus Lines tax filings and correspondence with state entities, including affidavits, countersignatures, official forms, and accounting backup. * Gathers information for regulatory audits and performs other duties as assigned. **Essential Qualifications** * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Technical skills across a breadth of technologies, with interaction with both business and technology teammates required. **Preferred Qualifications** * Associate's degree in Accounting. **What We Offer** * Excellent growth and advancement opportunities. * Competitive pay based on experience. * Paid Time Off (PTO). * Generous benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. * A dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. **Why Join blithequark?** * As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. * You will be part of a company that values diversity, inclusivity, and teamwork, and is committed to creating a more seamless way to connect the varying needs of our retail partners with the market clout and talents of our wholesale entities. * Our company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers, providing a supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and development. **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data entry and customer support, we encourage you to apply for the Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist position at blithequark.
