Job Summary As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you'll work from home and handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and direct mail to provide exceptional customer service to our policyholders. You'll review and update policies to enhance retention, provide quotes, and make recommendations to ensure our customers have the right coverage. Key Responsibilities Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer. Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Make recommendations and/or changes to policies and gain policyholder acceptance to process changes. Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in EPIC. Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service. Provide quotes on endorsements as requested and identify opportunities to apply discounts. Process insurance verification forms for insured and act as a liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies. Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies. Follow up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner. Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims. Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary and follow up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner. Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. Property and Casualty insurance license required. Preferred Qualifications Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently from home.
