Experienced Evening Customer Care Associate for Healthcare Navigation and Support – Delivering Exceptional Service and Empowering Members to Achieve Optimal Health and Well-being

As an Evening Customer Care Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and empowering our members to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for assisting members in navigating the healthcare system by answering a variety of incoming calls and responding to members' healthcare questions and issues. You will determine the appropriate resolution to assist members based on their needs, transfer calls outside the scope of responsibility to appropriate internal or external resources, and verify and collect demographic information to update in our system. Your goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our members receive timely and effective support to address their healthcare needs. Key Responsibilities Assist members in navigating the healthcare system by answering incoming calls and responding to healthcare questions and issues Determine the appropriate resolution to assist members based on their needs Transfer calls outside the scope of responsibility to appropriate internal or external resources Verify and collect demographic information to update in our system Follow up with members, providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures Exercise exceptional customer service skills to optimize each contact with the member Ensure that calls are processed in strict adherence to established policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable federal laws and regulations Know and support approved departmental and corporate policies and procedures relating to benefit issues Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the privacy of employee health information in compliance with federal and state laws such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) Research Assistance In addition to providing exceptional customer service, you will also be responsible for assisting in resolving routine program quality issues by identifying issues and researching in a timely manner. You will follow research through until resolution, document all issues thoroughly, and continuously evaluate the status of all work efforts to ensure that all tasks are prioritized to provide timely and quality services. Team Interfaces and Customer Service As an Evening Customer Care Associate, you will establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers, team members, and department contacts. You will cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks, provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations, and treat all internal and external customers, team members, and department contacts with dignity and respect. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, liberal arts, healthcare, or a related field preferred Minimum of one year of customer service experience required Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel required Must score acceptably on job-related testing Ability to pass standardized interview Essential Skills and Competencies In addition to the minimum qualifications, you will need to possess the following essential skills and competencies: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly rate of $18.00.
