We are now seeking experienced and tech-savvy Customer Support Representatives to join our team on a seasonal basis, working remotely to provide support to our tax software customers. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support via various channels, including phone support with video chat capability and traditional chat support. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting customers with software navigation and troubleshooting issues Helping customers locate prior returns and amendments Escalating calls when necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution Providing support via phone, video chat, and traditional chat channels Working in a fast-paced environment to meet customer needs and expectations Why Join blithequark? Additionally, extra incentives are available as tax day approaches, and contractors who meet or exceed key metrics can earn on average the equivalent of $16-$19/hour during peak times and $15.60-$17.50/hour during non-peak times. Schedule and Availability This seasonal contract starts in January and runs through April 15th, 2025, with flexible schedule opportunities available. You will have the ability to create your own schedule and choose your own hours, with availability between 7 am and 11 pm CST, Monday - Sunday. Weekday and weekend options are available, and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes for each hour if available for the full 60 minutes. Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A sincere desire to assist customers and provide exceptional support Technical savvy and experience as an avid computer user The ability to multi-task and navigate multiple systems Excellent communication skills, with a friendly tone and professional demeanor Work Environment and Technology Requirements To work as a Customer Support Representative with blithequark, you will need: A quiet, uninterrupted space to work from An organized desk area and professional appearance (if on camera) A personal computer (no tablet) with a broadband internet connection (recommended at least 10 MBPS) and a wired internet connection (no wi-fi or mobile internet) Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, with valid antivirus software installed, running, and up to date A USB headset with microphone, and a webcam (which will be loaned to you for the duration of the contract) Important Information Please note that we are currently unable to work with contractors residing in California, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington. Additionally, contractors must successfully pass a criminal background check to be eligible for this opportunity. Contractual Relationship The relationship between you and blithequark is a contractual relationship, and you will remain an independent contractor for the duration of this program assignment. blithequark will not be responsible for withholding taxes on your earnings while contracted with blithequark, and you will be asked to agree to have no claim against blithequark for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker’s compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits, or employee benefits of any kind.
