Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for handling a diverse range of customer service calls, resolving patient inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts, payments, and services in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. Your exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to provide outstanding support, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate excellent communication skills, navigating complex patient issues with empathy and understanding Utilize Microsoft Office products and internet navigation tools to efficiently manage patient information and resolve account-related queries Communicate clearly, concisely, and in an understandable manner, actively listening to patients and addressing their concerns Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that patients feel valued and supported throughout their interaction with arenaflex Deescalate conflicts and remain positive in challenging situations, maintaining a patient-centric approach at all times Accurately collect and update patient demographics and other relevant information as needed Review and process explanation of benefit (EOB) documentation, notating accounts and performing collection activity to resolve account discrepancies Verify patient bills for accuracy and completeness, obtaining any missing information and ensuring seamless payment processing Collect patient payments in accordance with established due dates, establishing payment plans within approved guidelines to facilitate timely settlements Create and mail patient statements, responding to return mail in a timely and efficient manner Foster an atmosphere of comfort, peace, and ease for patients, prioritizing their needs and concerns above all else Answer phone calls within 2 minutes of receipt, adhering to established dialogue parameters and resolving patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Attend in-services, seminars, and webinars to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and arenaflex's evolving services Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in customer service principles and practices Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and/or call center industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience Customer Service Basics or equivalent training preferred, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a remote or virtual work environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet navigation tools Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in complex situations Skills and Competencies Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders Strong active listening and problem-solving skills, with a patient-centric approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively to meet performance targets Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet navigation tools Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members, providing opportunities for professional advancement and continuous learning.
