Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for creating, acquiring, developing, and maintaining revenue and margin for the enterprise in your assigned territory. You will collaborate with internal teams, including pricing, operations, finance, and sales organization, to achieve business objectives. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through face-to-face sales approaches and strategic entertainment Develop and implement sales plans for key accounts to achieve revenue and margin objectives Analyze and interface with internal teams to complete corporate requests for proposals Collaborate with pricing to obtain specially priced requests and review and manage the process Track and ensure the productivity of assigned accounts, reviewing data monthly for purchase transportation, commitment margin, days sales outstanding, pricing compliance, and more Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities Maintain Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems to reflect area activity, contact information, and opportunities accurately Work extensively with MS Office products to present and offer data both internally and externally Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field At least 5 years of sales experience in transportation or a related industry Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Strong presentation and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Ability to travel up to 50% and have reliable transportation Previous experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry is a plus Demonstrated ability to sell and service specific vertical markets Corporate or Public Account Transportation Sales experience is preferred Skills and Competencies In addition to the requirements listed above, the ideal candidate should possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients Career Growth and Development Work Environment and Company Culture FedEx is a dynamic and fast-paced organization that values innovation, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
