We're now seeking an experienced and innovative Clinical Teaching Faculty member to join our College of Nursing's Hybrid Accelerated BSN Program in Cleveland, Ohio. About Our College of Nursing The College of Nursing at Xavier University is renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to developing compassionate, competent nursing professionals. Our Accelerated BSN program is designed to be intensive and immersive, preparing students for the demands of the nursing profession. As a hybrid program, it combines the flexibility of online didactic courses with the hands-on learning of in-person simulation, lab, and clinical experiences. We're looking for faculty who share our passion for nursing education and are dedicated to making a positive impact on the next generation of nurses. Key Responsibilities Teach in clinical, lab, and simulation courses within our Accelerated BSN program, with a focus on pediatrics and/or medical-surgical nursing. Develop and implement engaging, effective clinical and lab teaching strategies that align with course objectives and program outcomes. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote student success. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing education and clinical expertise. Engage in service activities that support the program, college, and university, contributing to our mission and community. Collaborate with colleagues across the program to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications: Current, unencumbered licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio, or eligibility for licensure. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse, with a strong background in pediatrics and/or medical-surgical nursing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of previous teaching experience in a nursing program. Experience with simulation-based education. Expertise in more than one clinical specialty area.
