As a Bilingual French English Travel Consultant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our corporate clients, helping them navigate the complexities of business travel, and providing personalized support every step of the way. About the Role We're seeking an experienced and skilled Bilingual French English Travel Consultant to join our remote team, working overnight and weekend shifts with the opportunity to earn bonuses. As a Travel Counselor, you'll be responsible for advising and arranging travel for corporate business clients, conducting research and analysis to identify the best travel options, and ensuring compliance with customer travel policies and regulatory requirements. You'll use your expertise in Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) such as Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, and Amadeus to book domestic and international travel, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities Advise and arrange travel for corporate business clients, including individuals and groups, to meet their unique needs and preferences Conduct research and analysis to identify the best travel options, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services Use GDSs to book travel, manage bookings, and make changes as needed Ensure compliance with customer travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements to minimize risks and ensure seamless travel experiences Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries, resolving issues, and offering personalized support and recommendations Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise, and to continuously improve our services and processes Meet and exceed performance targets, including sales goals, customer satisfaction metrics, and quality standards Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: Fluency in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous experience in the travel industry, preferably in a corporate travel or customer-facing role Strong knowledge of GDSs, including Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, and Amadeus Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be advantageous in this role: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment Knowledge of the corporate travel industry, including trends, challenges, and best practices Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other travel technology platforms Certifications or training in travel management, customer service, or a related field Ability to speak additional languages, with a focus on languages commonly used in international business travel Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and meeting performance targets Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Express, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
