Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll work in a remote call center environment, providing top-notch support to patients, healthcare providers, and medical staff. Your primary focus will be on resolving moderate to complex issues, scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and addressing inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Handle a minimum of 11 calls per hour, resolving moderate to complex issues with empathy and expertise Schedule and verify appointments in our clinical information system, ensuring seamless coordination of care Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information to maintain accurate records Send and receive tasks to provider offices, facilitating access to medical care and support Process and expedite referrals, stat and at-risk referrals, and patient complaints with urgency and care Perform high-volume data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Review and process medication refills, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care Respond proactively to inquiries from patients, providers, and internal medical personnel, providing clear and concise information Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) 6+ months of experience in a call center environment 6+ months of customer service experience, with a focus on resolving complex issues Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Must be 18 years of age or older Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours (7am-8pm, Monday-Friday, and 7am-5pm, Saturday-Sunday) Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare concepts Advanced understanding of insurance products and healthcare services Training in a medical office-related field, such as medical assisting or healthcare administration Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding systems Soft Skills Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly Solid listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities What We Offer At blithequark, we believe in rewarding and recognizing our team members for their hard work and dedication.
